I'd like to share how to actually warp time - now, don't be concerned! This is not a sci-fi rendition of information! It's a way you can warp time and actually have more time to do the things you love in life and get through your tasks more rapidly than ever before.
In fact, what I want to share with you is a breakdown of one of the greatest misconceptions out there in the market place about how to effectively manage your time and get the most into your day - so you have the most fulfillment in what you're doing!
Here's what I want you to think about just for a second... anyone who is ever contemplated time deeply enough will know that time DOES warp and change depending on what's going on.
For example:
If you've ever had the misfortune of being in a car accident, you'll notice that if you're inside the vehicle time definitely tends to slow down - everything seems to be in slow motion. If you're outside the vehicle though and witnessing the accident you'll notice that time does, in fact, speed up - the whole thing happens quite rapidly.
So what does that mean about time?
Well, it means that time is referenced inside the mind. In fact, certain liquid moving through certain regions of the mind is what give us the interpretation - the understanding that time is, in fact, moving around in a certain direction. So we know that time does slow down and speed up - depending on the experience that we're having, but what I'd like to let you know is how you can actually actively play a part in whether it slows down or it speeds up, actively warping the time so you can fit more in to the allocated moments you do have.
I want to show you exactly how you can fit more in an hour than generally may have taken 3 - 4 hours in the past, and the way that we do this is by understanding what's known as our energy levels or circadian rhythms.
These are all big fancy words - but what does it mean for you and me practically?
It means that throughout the day, throughout the week, throughout the month, and throughout the year we have different fluctuations in our energy levels!
Certainly, when we first wake up in the morning, you may spring out of bed. I'm here to tell you I certainly do not do that. I hit the snooze button at least 6 times! I'm a 6-time failure before I get out of bed, but when I get out of bed I'm a little lethargic, I'm sort of slow to take off and I have a fairly low level of energy. But it's not too long, maybe half an hour to an hour - my energy does build up. I move back up as I'm having lunch, then after lunch - you and I both know about 2:30-itis. We dip right back down into a drop, and so on and so forth.
Our energy moves in a wavy fashion
So what does that mean for efficiency, productivity, and getting the most out of our time?
I was able to chart an energy wave and certainly if you have a piece of paper and a pen, go ahead and chart your energy levels because it's quite important for you to be aware of these things!

On my chart above, we have: 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23 - these are simply hours of the day. Underneath I've got Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
If I was going to look at just a day of my life, I might start to look at - well when I get up in the morning (I don't get up at 7 by the way... I only get up about 9:30... people are saying I'm missing the best time of the day... I think that's a load of rubbish... I'm sleeping - I'm having a great time!) but here's the thing, whether you're an early riser or late riser - the fact is we do have different energy levels!
I've got low (L), medium (M) and high (H) energy going up the left-hand side of the table.
Start plotting your energy level!
I get a marker and start to note exactly what my time and energy levels are at:
• In the morning at 7 o'clock - I'm going to give myself a low energy.

• By about 8 o'clock - I'm going to give myself somewhere around the medium energy.
• By about 9 o'clock - I'm breaching into the high energy.
• By about 11 o'clock - I'm on really, really high energy!
• Certainly, as I reach 12 o'clock - very high energy!
• 1 o'clock – Start to get low on energy.
• As we start getting down to 2:30 - I'm starting to get lower, lower and lower!
• As I get right down to 3 o'clock or around 3:30 - I'm probably at my lowest!
In fact, I actually like to have a little bit of sleep around this time. A little bit of siesta for about half an hour because my energy is so low - it's almost the least productive moment in my life - that was of course before I knew this piece of information!
Then I start to turn my energy around it starts to peak back up, and obviously I'm about to go and have some dinner, maybe I'm going out to the movies, talk to some friends - I've got nice and high energy!
As we get later on to 11 o'clock it starts to take rough a little bit and it starts to move down.
So what we've got now is we've been able to chart my circadian rhythm, my energy level, my series of when I'm most awake to when I'm most tired and most sleepy, less energized and so on and so forth.
Connecting the dots, we can see a beautiful wave, mapping exactly what my energy level looks like throughout the day.

What does that mean for efficiency and for the highest level of productivity?
What most people actually believe is that when you have your high energy it would be natural and normal for us to want to do the stuff we love!
We've been told that if you want to go out there when you got high energy, go and do stuff that you love. When you got low energy, look for 1 or 2 cylinder tasks, things that you don't really like so much and just sort of plod along through them.
Here's the problem with that: If I'm doing stuff I don't like when I have low energy - I have a higher level of resistance and the task takes me up to 4 times as long! When I've got really high energy though, and I'm doing the stuff I love -it gets done quicker so I don't get to enjoy it as much!
Just think about that for a second!
My advice: From this day forward - chart out your energy levels in a day, over a week, or over a month
Whenever you have low energy, schedule in stuff that you love!
If you really love going to the gym, most people don't go to the gym when they've got low energy, but if you really love going to the gym - it would in fact raise your energy!
When you start to do things you really love when your energy is low, your energy actually rises up! You start to increase your energy levels! Energy is infinite when you recognize the source, and the source of your energy is doing what's inspiring to you, and what's inspiring to you is what's the highest on your values!
If you work out what's really inspiring to you, what you love, and you schedule it in methodically into the moments of your day where you have the lowest levels of energy you'll start to increase the energy of every single day! Not only that - when you schedule in the stuff that you despise into the highest levels of energy, you would do the task faster and you'll have way less resistance because the energy going through your mind at that time.
Chart it out!
As a result of this piece of information, I'd like you to:
• Chart out your energy levels for a day and chart them out for a week.
• Write down all the task that you need to do in your life to make sure that you're effective and operational in getting everything you want to do and that you're being productive.
• Then work out which of these tasks you don't like a lot, which of these tasks do I love and which of the tasks that fit somewhere in between.
• Then start to plot them! The stuff you love all in the low energy sections, the stuff you hate and despise all in the high energy sections until you can outsource it and the stuff in middle obviously plant that somewhere in the middle.
